Logan Circle Mural + Neighborhood | Washington DC Engagement Photography | Kristen + Lee

This past week we got to photograph Kristen and Lee’s Washington DC engagement session starting at their home, with wine of course, then onto the Logan Circle mural (which is their backyard!) and ending at the circle. This couple is one of many couples that mention that they’re not “'good” at having their photograph taken and that they’re “awkward” in front of the camera. I put “good” and “awkward” in quotations because these photographs prove that it’s simply not true! I strongly believe that ANYONE can feel comfortable in front of the camera with the right amount of preparation before their shoot and a friendly, encouraging, and CALM person on the other side of the camera. We never allow our couples to go into a shoot without feeling totally prepared- as soon as a couple books with us we send them THREE different guides - an overall guide on how to feel comfortable and yourself in front of the camera with helpful tips and tricks to achieve this, a guide to styling yourselves (we are super hands-on with this to make sure you’re wearing clothes that make you feel good and look good on camera) and a guide that helps you choose the right location for your shoot. From there, we’re available via text, phone or email to answer ALL of your questions and put you at ease. <3

The Lauren Louise Wedding Collective is a Washington DC based full service wedding collaborative that offers photography, videography, planning and design services. We strongly believe that hiring wedding vendors that know and love working with another makes a difference in the overall feeling and style of your day. We focus on creating a collaborative experience for all of your vendors and strive for authenticity in everything we do in order for your true personalities to be shared and displayed throughout your wedding season. While we are based in the DMV, we travel frequently for destination weddings and events all over the world. We have photographed in five countries and over 20 states - to find out more about what it’s like to work with us, please fill out our contact form here.
