A Wintery Beach Engagement Session on The Great South Bay in Bellport New York

This past November I was honored to photograph my sister’s engagement session in Bellport, New York on the Great South Bay of Long Island. This engagement photography session was so special to me; not only because it was for my sister and her amazing fiancé but because Bellport is where my sister and I grew up! We spent our childhoods riding bicycles down to the bay, summers on the beach playing in the sand and endless holidays window shopping around town. My sister is getting married in Bellport next year at our town’s country club, the very same venue my parents got married over 40 years ago, so it only made sense for us to photograph her engagement session in town, too.

Our town is small - the “four corners” acts as the center of the village - so we started there, stopping at all our favorite stores. We then headed down to the bay to walk on the docks and finish the evening watching the sunset on the beach with the reeds and beach houses lining the coast.
